Building. So much building. And folding. Hours and hours of it. We've only built two out of the six projects so far - I think it'll take us the rest of half-term to finish building all of it.

Eldest daughter enjoyed putting it all together with me. Youngest daughter lost interest and wandered off pretty quickly. The interactive step-by-step instructions shown on the Switch screen are awesome - it's always super obvious what you need to do.

Making the VR goggles unlocks the first set of VR mini games. They're basically simple physics engine demos. But a few are kinda fun.

Building the blaster project unlocked the first "proper" game. This is where it starts getting interesting - this is really really fun. The audio, visuals, vibrations from the Switch & joy cons, and rubber-band-powered mechanisms all combine to make it surprisingly immersive.

It's not a perfect experience. Visuals are okay when you're still but blur when you move. The lack of a head strap means you're always holding it which gets tiring. But it's easy to forgive it (so far, at least) cos it's just fun!
