        1. I've been on jury service for the last couple of weeks. I didn't want to mention it while I was doing it, and even now there's stuff I can't say.

        I should say the other jurors and the court staff were all awesome people. It was reassuring and a little inspiring to see how seriously everyone takes the process and their responsibility.

      It felt unusual to work on something without distractions for a while. No emails, no phones, no internet, no Slack notifications - just being totally present, concentrating on one thing and one thing only. I kinda enjoyed that, and should probably do it more often.

    Overall, there was lots about it that was difficult, tiring, and frustrating. But also fascinating. And I'm really glad I got the chance to do it. My service is finished now - back to normal life tomorrow.
